FortiClient VPN Logs - Creating a log file
If experiencing connection issues, that the service desk are struggling to diagnose, they may ask you provide the diagnostic logs.
The logs are generated through the FortiClient app.
Navigate to: "About"

In the top right-hand side click "Diagnostic Tool"

Click "Run diagnostic Tool.”

Click "Run tool"

The diagnostics take a couple of minutes to compile.
The diagnostics take a couple of minutes to compile. Once created, they are saved locally in the folder C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\FortiClient\tmp\Diagnostic_Result will open containing "Diagnostic_Result.zip" This folder will open when the download has completed.
You should rename the file to include the name/initials of the user. This can then be uploaded to the transfer drive for further analysis. If you have an IT Hub ticket open, please let them know you have created and uploaded the logs.
