SAP GUI 8.00 - Top menu bar disappears from SAP GUI screen

Due to recent SAP GUI 8.00 upgrade to version 8.0 the top menu bar disappears from SAP GUI screen session when opened in SAP Portal.

As with previous SAP GUI versions, the application is completely customisable.

Steps to regain SAP GUI top menu bar items

Open SAP GUI 800 Logon application from your laptop.
Select the ☰ menu (top-left) and select Options.
In the Options screen select Visual Design > Theme Settings. Make sure the checkbox Move main menu to ‘More’ button is selected.
Select Apply and OK buttons to force changes.
Close the SAP SAP GUI 800 Logon application.
Return to SAP Portal and open SAP GUI session. The main menu buttons should be available on the ‘More’ button when next entering a GUI based screen.
